Muklog Privacy Policy

JDLE (the “Operator”) processes personal information only as needed to provide Muklog and protects users' personal information in accordance with applicable laws and store policies.

A. Accounts and login
- User identifiers provided by Kakao, Google, or Apple
- Email address, if provided by the login provider and permitted by the user
- Display name, profile image URL, and login provider

B. Food entries and rooms
- Food entry names and creation and sharing times
- Processed food sticker images
- Room names, memberships, invitation and joining records, and notification settings

C. Plus subscriptions
- Store, product ID, transaction and original transaction identifiers, and purchase tokens
- Subscription status, payment and expiration times, and automatic renewal status
- A random identifier for securely linking purchases to app accounts

D. Optional AI nutrition analysis
- Original food photos the user asks us to analyze
- Estimated food names, calorie and nutrient ranges, confidence, assumptions, and cautions
- Model name, request identifier, token usage, and estimated cost

E. Information generated during use
- Security and troubleshooting information, including request times, request identifiers, IP addresses, and error logs
- Minimum device information needed to investigate errors, such as app version and operating system

F. Coupang Partners advertising
- When an ad is displayed to a free user, the WebView connects directly to Coupang's advertising servers. This may transmit IP addresses, User-Agent, screen size, network status, and performance and ad impression identifiers to Coupang. Cookies and web identifiers for Coupang domains may be stored on the device.
- Muklog does not send food photos, food names, calories or nutrients, room information, or advertising identifiers (IDFA or ADID) to Coupang banners.

• Preventing abuse, maintaining security, diagnosing problems, and providing support

• Original photos are not uploaded to our servers for ordinary food entries.
• Room sharing sends only processed sticker images, such as images with the background removed, and entry information.
• Shared sticker images on our servers are automatically deleted no later than 10 days after sharing.
• Original photos are sent through Muklog's server to the AI processing provider only when the user chooses AI nutrition analysis.
• Replay videos created in the app are saved on the user's device and are not uploaded to Muklog's servers.

• Accounts, profiles, rooms, food entries, and AI analysis results: until account closure or completion of a deletion request
• Shared sticker images: up to 10 days after sharing
• Login sessions: until expiration, logout, or account closure
• Payment and subscription transaction records: up to 5 years where required by applicable law
• Consumer complaints and dispute records: up to 3 years where required by applicable law
• Security access logs: up to 3 months, as needed to prevent abuse

Minimum information required by law or needed to address payment fraud or disputes is stored separately for the specified period and then deleted.

• Kakao, Google, and Apple: social login and account authentication
• The store used to purchase your subscription: in-app purchases, subscription status checks, and purchase restoration
• OpenAI API: estimating nutrition information from food photos selected by users
• Hosting and network providers: API and database operations and transmission security
• Discord Inc.: forwarding support and account deletion requests

AI analysis data may be transmitted in encrypted form to processing facilities of OpenAI and its subprocessors, including facilities outside Korea, to provide the OpenAI API service. The information transmitted consists of the photo submitted for analysis and the analysis instructions, for the purpose of estimating nutrition information. Inputs and outputs sent to the OpenAI API are not used for model training by default and may be retained for up to 30 days for safety and abuse monitoring. Muklog disables storage in its API requests.

When the user taps the weekly AI report creation button, stored food names, recorded dates, nutrition estimates, analysis descriptions and uncertainty information for that period are sent to create the report. Report creation does not send original photos, account identifiers or room information. Generated commentary is saved to the account and is not regenerated when read again.

When you submit a web inquiry, your name, contact details, and inquiry may be transmitted in encrypted form to Discord's processing facilities in the United States to forward your support request. This information is retained only as long as needed to handle the request and related disputes and is deleted promptly once that purpose is fulfilled.

You may choose not to request AI analysis. Basic sticker saving and room sharing remain available if you decline.

The Operator does not sell or disclose personal information to third parties without separate user consent or a legal basis. Information needed for store payments and user-selected AI analysis is transmitted only for the purposes described above.

From the moment a Coupang dynamic banner is displayed on a free user's screen, the app's WebView connects directly to Coupang servers, and Coupang may process the communication and cookie information described above. Tapping a banner product opens the Coupang app or website. Information handling during banner display and subsequent purchases is governed by Coupang's terms and privacy policy. Muklog does not provide food entries or personalized advertising identifiers to Coupang.

You may request access to, correction or deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal information, and may withdraw consent.

To prevent future charges, cancel Plus separately in the subscription management screen of the purchasing store. You can delete your account regardless of subscription status. Deleting your account does not stop automatic renewal through the store.

• Electronic files are deleted in a way that makes recovery difficult.
• Original photos, caches, and replays on your device can be removed through the app's deletion features or by uninstalling the app.
• On account closure, we delete login links and service content and invalidate all login sessions.
• Transaction records that must be retained by law are stored separately from account information or with measures to reduce identification risks.

• Secure on-device storage of login tokens and refresh token rotation
• Server-side verification of room permissions, subscription access, and AI usage
• Least-privilege access, request size limits, and rate limits for key requests
• Prevention of duplicate processing of payment notifications and purchase verification

Muklog is not intended for children under 14. If we discover that information about a user under 14 has been collected without a legal guardian's consent, we delete it promptly.

We announce changes in the app or on our website before they take effect. Material changes to users' rights will be announced with reasonable advance notice.

Shared food titles are checked against Muklog's prohibited-word rules. Entries become visible to members of the selected rooms immediately after login, room permissions and basic input checks pass. Ordinary sharing does not send photos or food titles to external AI.

Reports retain the reporter, target user and entry identifiers, reason and resolution status. The Operator reviews submitted reports and takes necessary action. Reported entries are hidden from the reporter's view; blocking hides shared entries and new-entry notifications between the two users.
